A first look · iPhone Duo

A little more room
for practice.

Target face and score sheet together when open. Compact scoring when closed.

Simple Arrows 1.1.2 is planned for the iPhone Duo launch. Here’s a preview of the new layout.

Simple Arrows on an open iPhone Duo, with a score sheet on the left and an archery target on the right.
Place an arrow on the target and see it recorded beside it. 3D arrows shown are an optional Supporter cosmetic; all scoring features are free.

One arrow. Both views.

Open Duo and the target face sits beside the score sheet, so you can place an arrow and see the end total in one view. Close it, and scoring adapts to the outer display.

Pick a face and start scoring. Simple Arrows recognises the round as you go, keeps your sessions in a Timeline, and helps you notice patterns over time.

Made by someone on the shooting line.

Simple Arrows is built by Brooklyn archer David Liu through his one-person studio, Dabblings. He started it for his wife, Lisa, a novice archer who wanted a simpler way to score. Lisa also created the smiling target icon.

“An ordinary practice session is worth remembering, even when there’s no personal best. I’m building something that helps me notice what happened and then lets me get back to shooting. I want it to feel as friendly as the people I enjoy sharing a range with.”
David Liu, maker of Simple Arrows

Free scoring. Thoughtful details.

Every scoring feature is free. Optional Supporter purchases add cosmetic extras. There are no ads and no account to create. Training data is stored on your device, with optional sync through your own private iCloud account. Anonymous analytics are opt-in.
